About the Social
Security Disability Resource Site
The
Social Security Disability Resource site was created for the purpose of helping
Social Security Disability claimants better understand the complex and confusing
world of Social Security Disability applications.
Unlike retirement Social
Security, the "disability" Social Security program is not
automatic. Even though you may have paid into the system, you can only
recover benefits if you prove that you are disabled.
Unfortunately, the Social
Security Administration does not offer much help in explaining how you go about
proving disability. The official
Social Security web site, which is not affiliated with this web site, has
some helpful information, but can be difficult to navigate. In addition,
the main SSA site deals with all of Social Security's programs, not just
disability. This web site addresses disability issues only - it does not
focus on retirement or other programs.
Besides providing useful
information about getting approved for disability benefits, the Social Security
Disability Resource site also includes links to experienced disability lawyers
all over the country. Just fill
out our convenient case information form and your case information will
automatically be sent to one of the disability lawyers on our panel.
If you have any questions
about this web site, if you wish to re-publish any of our articles, or if you
have any suggestions for additional topics to be covered, please contact the
editor.
